Frank's NHL Dice Roll-2/20

Frank Sofia

Welcome to my latest edition of the NHL dice roll. I strive to spotlight betting angles to exploit, and taking a look at today's schedule, there are 24 teams taking to the ice. When I find a wager that I feel strong enough to play myself, I post it on Bet Karma.
There have been many features just added to the Bet Karma site. Make sure to check out: betting trendslive odds page, and our prop predictor.
You can also find all of Bet Karma's staff bets through our Premium Package.

My last dice roll went 3-0
Season record 15-7, +10.81 units.
Let's look at who I like from today's heavy NHL slate:
(all lines shown are from DraftKings Sportsbook)

Vegas/Colorado O 5.5 goals (-108)/Play 1.08 units to win 1 unit

With four days rest for each of these teams, we should see fresh legs for this outdoor Lake Tahoe spotlight game. Each team has averaged over three goals a game this season, and the winning team has scored three goals against the loser as these teams have split in two meetings so far. I think we get an offensive showcase today on Lake Tahoe.

Calgary/Edmonton O 6 goals (-114)/Play 1.14 units to win 1 unit.

There are four players here that average at least one point per game. The first contest between these two resulted in a 6-4 final. Both these teams are top 15 in scoring on the power play, and are only average in killing off power plays. With all the skilled scorers, (McDavid, Draisaitl, Lindholm, Tkachuk) and lackluster defense, there should be plenty of lamp lighting in Edmonton tonight.

Minnesota/Anaheim (1st Period) U 1.5 goals (-130)/Play 1.30 units to win 1 unit.

Both of these teams have struggled to score in the first period of games and tend to "feel the other team out" for the first 20 minutes. Both teams have not only shown strong goaltending, but also have been well below the league average on the power play. Let's ride these trends to a 1st period under in this one.

Best of luck and enjoy the NHL schedule today.
