Frank's Dice Roll - NHL Bet for 3/4/21

Welcome to my latest edition of the NHL dice roll. I strive to spotlight betting angles to exploit, and taking a look at today's schedule, there are 20 teams taking to the ice. When I find a wager that I feel strong enough to play myself, I post it on Bet Karma.

Let's look at who I like from tonight's NHL slate:

Carolina -1.5 goals (-118)/Play 1.18 units to win 1 unit 

The Carolina Hurricanes offensive game is solid. They get top line and secondary scoring almost every night, and rank in the NHL's top ten with a 3.27 goal per game average. Carolina has been almost perfect at home with a 6-1-1 record, while Detroit has been dreadfull on the road with just three regulation wins in 13 games. To make matters worse for Detroit, they allow the fourth most goals per game at 3.28. Most recently, the Red Wings have lost their last two road games by a combined score of 11-3. The Hurricanes should easily get at least a 2 goal victory on home ice tonight.
