Welcome to my latest edition of the NHL dice roll. I strive to spotlight betting angles to exploit, and taking a look at today's schedule, there are 12 teams taking to the ice. When I find a wager that I feel strong enough to play myself, I post it on Bet Karma.
There have been many features just added to the Bet Karma site. Make sure to check out: betting trends, live odds page, and our prop predictor.
Yesterday's wager went 1-0
Season record 21-14, +10.54 units.
There are 2 plays I like from tonight's NHL slate:
(all lines shown are from DraftKings Sportsbook)
Edmonton PL -1.5 goals (+102)/Play 1 unit to win 1.02 units
Edmonton has owned Ottawa this season as many of the Canadian teams have. The Oilers are looking for their 5th win against the Senators, have home ice, and are aware of Ottawa's 3-11 dreadful road record. The Sens take a lot of penalties and the power play is something in which the Oilers excel at. Overall, Ottawa has been the most generous, giving up the league's highest average of 3.92 goals per game. It will take a herculean effort for Ottawa to stay within 2 goals of Edmonton tonight.

Vegas ML (-113)/Play 1.13 units to win 1 unit
Vegas is an elite goal-scoring team, ranking fifth in the NHL with an average of 3.33 goals per contest. They are in the midst of a six game winning streak, with includes two victories over Minnesota. Defensively, the Golden Knights are second in allowing just 2.1 goals per game on average. What makes Vegas so tough in this matchup is that that they defend 5-on-5 so well and the Wild's power play is dead last in the league, converting at just a 6.9% rate of success. I don't see Minnesota being able to stay with Vegas even on home ice in this one.
