NBA Trends and Line Movement (3/24)

Justin Bales

The new Bet Karma NBA Trends page is designed to show the line movement in team totals, spreads, and game totals. Each section features the opening number, live number, and difference between the two. The movement is taken from the DraftKings Sportsbook

In this article, I’ll breakdown the movement from one game with the corresponding player prop bet from our Prop Predictor. All of our player props can be found on the Live Odds page by clicking “view props” for each individual game.

Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks opened as 3.5 point home favorites against the Boston Celtics. The line shifted 2.5 points toward Milwaukee throughout the day, as well. The game total opened at 230 points and hasn’t moved thus far. The Bucks team total increased from 116.75 to 118, while the Celtics dropped from 113.25 to 112.

Both of these teams have struggled against the spread (ATS) this season. Milwaukee’s covered in 47.6% of their games, while Boston’s covered in only 44.2% of theirs. The Bucks have been better at home, though, where they boast a 13-9 ATS record. The Celtics are one of the worst road teams in the NBA, recording a 7-16 road ATS record this season.

Both teams have found the over more often than not. Milwaukee’s hit the over in 61% of their games with Boston finding the over in 53.5% of theirs. The Bucks boast a 14-8 over/under record at home, as well. The Celtics enter this game with a 13-10 road over/under record this season.

With trades likely to happen, our Props haven't been posted yet. Keep checking back, as they should be up soon!
