NBA Trends and Line Movement (4/10)

The new Bet Karma NBA Trends page is designed to show the line movement in team totals, the spread, and game totals. Each section features the opening number, live number, and difference between the two. The movement is taken from the DraftKings Sportsbook

In this article, I’ll break down the movement from one game with the corresponding player prop bet from our Prop Predictor. All of our player props can be found on the Live Odds page by clicking “view props” for each game.

Sacramento Kings vs Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz opened as -12.5 point home favorites against the Sacramento Kings. The line shifted 1 point toward Sacramento, as Utah is now an 11.5 point favorite. The game total opened at 231.5 points, dropping to 230.5 throughout the day. The Kings team total hasn’t shifted, while the Jazz dipped from 122 to 121.

Utah’s been one of the best against the spread (ATS) teams in the NBA, covering in 61.5% of their games. Sacramento hasn’t found as much success, covering in only 44.2% of their contests this season. The Jazz boast the best home ATS record in the NBA a 19-6. Surprisingly, the Kings have been better on the road, where they own a 13-12 ATS record.

These teams are opposites in terms of the game total. Sacramento’s found the over in 55.8% of their games, while Utah’s hit the under in 52.9% of theirs. The Jazz own an 11-14 over/under record at home, as well. The Kings have hit the under more often than not on the road, though, as they currently own a 12-13 road over/under record.

Our props should be available shortly. Continue to check back on the site for when they're released.
