The new Bet Karma NBA Trends page is designed to show the line movement in team totals, spreads, and game totals. Each section features the opening number, live number, and difference between the two. The movement is taken from the DraftKings Sportsbook.
In this article, I’ll break down the movement from one game with the corresponding player prop bet from our Prop Predictor. All of our player props can be found on the Live Odds page by clicking “view props” for each game.
The Philadelphia 76ers opened as 6.5 point home favorites against the Brooklyn Nets. The line shifted 2 points toward Philadelphia, as they are now 8.5 point favorites. The game total opened at 232 points, dropping to 225.5 throughout the day. The Nets team total decreased from 112.75 to 108.5, while the Sixers dipped from 119.25 to 117.
Philadelphia’s found plenty of success against the spread (ATS) this season, covering in 57.7% of their games thus far. Brooklyn hasn’t seen the same success, covering in only 48.1% of their contests. The Sixers have been elite at home, as well, posting a 16-9 ATS record over 27 games. The Nets have been slightly better on the road, where they own a 13-12 record.
These teams are opposites in terms of the total. Philadelphia’s hit the under in 53.7% of their games, while Brooklyn’s found the over in 59.3% of theirs. The Sixers have found the over more often than not at home, where they’ve recorded a 15-10 over/under record this season. The Nets boast a 16-9 over/under record on the road.
Our Prop Predictor is being updated and should be available shortly.
