The new Bet Karma NBA Trends page is designed to show the line movement in team totals, spreads, and game totals. Each section features the opening number, live number, and difference between the two. The movement is taken from the DraftKings Sportsbook

In this article, I’ll break down the movement from one game with a corresponding player prop bet from our Prop Predictor. All of our player props can be found on the Live Odds page by clicking “view props” for each game.

Charlotte Hornets vs Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics opened as a 6.5 point home favorite against the Charlotte Hornets. The line moved 1 point toward Boston, as they are now 7.5 point favorites. The game total opened at 221.5 points, dropping to 216 throughout the day. Overall, the Hornets team total dipped from 107.5 to 104.25, while the Celtics decreased from 114 to 111.75.

Charlotte’s performed well against the spread (ATS) this season. They’ve covered in 53.3% of their games thus far. Boston hasn’t found as much success, covering in only 47.5% of their contests. The Celtics have been better at home, where they own a 16-14-1 ATS record this season. The Hornets have struggled a bit on the road, posting a 16-16 ATS record.

Boston’s been neutral in terms of the game total this season, hitting both sides 50% of the time. Charlotte leans towards the under, finding it in 56.7% of their contests. The Celtics have hit the under more often than not at home, posting a 13-18 over/under record. Surprisingly, the Hornets have been opponents on the road, where they’ve recorded an 18-14 record this season.

This game features a plethora of elite bets, according to our Prop Predictor. Jaylen Brown’s rebounding total is set at 5.5 tonight. He boasts a Karma Projection of 7.2, though. The difference gives the over an A+ Karma Grade.

Brown’s averaging 5.9 rebounds in 34.1 minutes per game through 55 contests this season. He’s averaging 7.7 rebounds in 36.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days, though. He’s recorded 6+ rebounds in 6 of his last 10 games, including 3 of his last 4.

Brown’s performed well against Charlotte this season, averaging 7 rebounds in 30.2 minutes per game against them this season. He’ll be locked into major minutes once again tonight, making it easy to see why our Prop Predictor loves the over.
