NBA Trends and Line Movement (5/11)

The new Bet Karma NBA Trends page is designed to show the line movement in team totals, spreads, and game totals. Each section features the opening number, live number, and difference between the two. The movement is taken from the DraftKings Sportsbook. 

 

In this article, I’ll break down the movement from one game with a corresponding player prop bet from our Prop Predictor. All of our player props can be found on the Live Odds page by clicking “view props” for each game. 

 

Los Angeles Clippers vs Toronto Raptors

The Los Angeles Clippers opened as a 12 point road against favorites against the Toronto Raptors. The line shifted 1.5 points toward them, as they are now 13.5 point favorites. The game total opened at 220.5 points, dropping to 218 throughout the day. The Clippers team total dipped from 116.25 to 115.75, while the Raptors decreased from 104.25 to 102.25. 

 

Los Angeles has found success against the spread (ATS), covering in 55.2% of their games this season. Toronto’s struggled, covering in only 44.8% of their contests thus far. The Raptors have been slightly better at home, although they still only own a 15-18-1 home ATS record. The Clippers enter this game with a 16-15-1 road ATS record. 

 

Los Angeles is a neutral team in terms of the game total, hitting the over in 50% of their games. Toronto’s found the over in 52.9% of their contests this season. The Raptors lean toward the under at home, where they possess a 15-19 over/under record. The Clippers have been neutral on the road, where they boast a 16-16 over/under record.
