Top 3 Thursday Night Football NFL Player Props

Welcome back, Karma Nation! I'll be highlighting three of my favorite NFL player props for Thursday Night's matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys that I think are worthwhile. To find all of the other staff’s favorite bets make sure to sign up for the Premium package.

All prop lines are based on DraftKings Sportsbook. Lines may vary based on the time you are reading this or if you are using a different sportsbook. Check out where to bet to find other sportsbooks in your state. Let's dive in.

Ronald Jones II Anytime TD Scorer (+120)

I know, touchdowns are not what we call a "sticky stat" meaning they're highly unpredictable week-over-week. However, I am loving this anytime TD prop on Ronald Jones II for the first game of the NFL regular season. When healthy, Jones II has looked the part as the best running back in the Tampa Bay backfield. He easily has the most life in his legs of the group consisting of Leonard Fournette, Giovani Bernard, and the oft-forgotten KeShawn Vaughn. In just 14 games last season, Jones II rushed for 7 TDs, averaging 0.5 rushing TDs per game he played. Given his career averages, this is essentially a 50/50 bet. Aiding the case for a Jones II touchdown is the fact that the Dallas Cowboys' defense was softer than vanilla sherbet on a hot day last season. There's an easy path for the Buccaneers to go up by multiple scores early in this game and shift the focus to the run game, which should also find great success against this porous rushing defense.

Bet 1 unit on Ronald Jones to score a TD anytime (+120) to profit 1.20 units.

Amari Cooper Over 5.5 Catches (+110)

Through 16 games last season, Amari Cooper averaged 5.75 catches per game, but that number is slightly misleading. When Dak Prescott was in the starting lineup and healthy, Cooper averaged 9.25 receptions on 12.75 targets per game. Cooper was easily the most-targeted receiver in this offense with Prescott last season and was producing at an obscenely high clip. While the Tampa Bay defense is one of the best in football, I fully expect Cooper to go over 5.5 catches. In a game where the Cowboys should be in a negative game script playing catch-up, Cooper should see anywhere between 8-12 targets in the passing game. I am loving these current odds.

Bet 1 unit on Amari Cooper Over 5.5 catches (+110) to profit 1.10 units.

Greg Zuerlein Over 1.5 Field Goals Made (-110)

I fully expect some Dallas drives to stall out in this game. If the Bucs defense is even half as good as last year's squad, then the Cowboys are going to have some drives get stuck before the red zone. I like Zuerlein for over 1.5 fields goals made in a game where the Cowboys should be looking to take every point they can get against the defending Super Bowl champs.

Bet 1 unit on Greg Zuerlein Over 1.5 Field Goals Made (-110) to profit .10 units.
