NFC SOUTH:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers- 11.5 Wins: OVER +100

A wild off-season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers culminated in the retirement/un-retirement of Tom Brady. Brady returns to a loaded team set to make another run for a Super Bowl title.

The Buccaneers have the deepest offensive weaponry in the NFL. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, recently-signed Julio Jones, Russell Gage, and Leonard Fournette make it virtually impossible to slow down this juggernaut.

I will never doubt Tom Brady. The Buccaneers feel like a team on a mission in 2022. Take the OVER.

New Orleans Saints- 8.5 Wins: UNDER -125

I make a mistake every year underrating the New Orleans Saints. Here I go again.

The direction of the Saints franchise does not provide much confidence. Last off-season, Drew Brees would retire. The Saints would flip-flop back and forth between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill in 2022. Sean Payton leaves the Saints this off-season. The Brees/Payton combination identified this franchise for over a decade.

The new era of the Saints does not pass the vibe test. We are unsure of the status of Alvin Kamara heading into 2022. We do not know what we are getting from Michael Thomas in 2022. The Saints feel like a team with more questions than answers.

I glance at the Saint's schedule in 2022, and they have a rough road ahead of them. Nine wins feel like a stretch. I will take the UNDER.

Atlanta Falcons- 5 Wins: UNDER -150

The Atlanta Falcons feel like a team without a direction. Marcus Mariota will begin the 2022 season under center for the Falcons. At what point do they give Desmond Ridder a look?

I like the recent additions of Kyle Pitts and Drake London to a Falcons offense that desperately needed play-makers, but they still have a long way to go on that side of the ball.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Falcons' are a defense to target and put up little resistance. The Falcons could finish with the worst record in the NFL in 2022.

Don't believe me? My colleague David Costabile thinks they may have the worst roster in the NFL. I would highly recommend checking out his Deep Dive HERE. We are doubling down on this one--TAKE THE UNDER.

Carolina Panthers- 6.5 Wins: OVER -110

Perhaps I am getting suckered in here by Mayfield-Mania, but I am buying the Carolina Panthers heading into 2022.

A year ago, the Panthers won five games with atrocious play at the quarterback position. Christian McCaffrey missed the vast majority of the season as well. With Baker Mayfield under center, I believe the offense will be serviceable at a minimum.

I like many of the pieces on the defensive side of the ball for Carolina, and they will be a tough out for teams. The Carolina Panthers scratch and claw their way to the OVER in 2022.
