This is kind of an obvious play, and I dont think most people need me to explain just how good Fox has been recently, but I will anyway. Before going into any numbers, I can&#39;t even begin to explain how important going from a tanking team with no signs of life, to a team fighting for a playoff spot is. Not only is this team re-energized, but they are also able to get more into rhythm with their new players.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Fox ended the first half of the regular season by scoring 26+ points in 8 of there last 10 games, and 6 straight. Without Tyrese Haliburton in the starting lineup, Fox is given the greenlight to lead this team. Letting go of Haliburton really gave Fox the chance to lead this team and I expect him to continue to do so.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

While I do think Sabonis getting more involved may take away a couple scoring opportunities, I think it&#39;s a net positive. Playing with a big like Sabonis, who has above average passing capabilities and constantly draws double teams is definitely gonna work to create more opportunities for Fox. When they matched up with the Nuggets earlier this season, Fox scored 30 points and Im expecting a similar performance today, considering they give up the most points to opposing PG&rsquo;s over there last 30 games.&nbsp;

Since 2020, in his four matchups with the Kings, Jokic has scored 33, 50, 26, and 29 points. While the Kings are making a bit of a playoff push, they are still notoriously weak around the rim. They may not be starting undersized Richaun Holmes as their center anymore, but Sabonis&rsquo;s offensive contributions drastically outway what he does on defense.&nbsp;

Jokic is having another MVP caliber season, but he&#39;s still not getting the recognition for it. Jokic is averaging 26 points per game this year but easily dropped 30 against the Kings this year. With the insane workload he carries, I expect the rest to do some good for Jokic, who went into the break&nbsp;hot, scoring 35, 26, and 28 points.&nbsp;

Overall Higgins has been very good, he has 5 100+ yard games over his last 10 (ending at 96 vs the Titans). He&#39;s peaking at the right times, and even though this may not be the best matchup on the planet, I think that Higgins will continue to carve out a large role on this team.

OBJ Over 60.5 Receiving Yards -115&nbsp;

Despite the Drake curse, I still do really like this bet. This is incredibly impressive, especially given all the doubts around his arrival in Los Angeles. When he was first moved over from Cleveland, people constantly downplayed his on the field ability, doubting the talent he once flashed was still there. Since then, he&#39;s definitely proved himself as a viable option that defenses must be concerned with at all times. Coming off an 11 target game against a tough 49ers defense, I think we are gonna see Odell stay involved this week.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Cooper Kupp OVER 0.5 Rushing Yards +250&nbsp;

&nbsp;

The fact of the matter is, Cooper Kupp is the most dynamic player on this offense and McVay&rsquo;s job is gonna be to get him the ball anyway possible. Kupp has a rushing attempt in 4 of his last 7 games, including -2 rush yards last week against the 49ers, and McVay has shown off a willingness to get creative in terms of playcalling. If the running game gets off to a slow start, I think there is a good chance we could see Kupp grab a carry in an attempt to mix things up.&nbsp;

This is one of my favorite bets to make every year. This will normally be under the novelty prop sections on most sportsbooks and is a Super Bowl classic. This falls under the same logic as the Kupp bet, coaches get creative come playoff time and we&rsquo;ve seen multiple guys complete passes over the course of the year. I really don&#39;t know why this is + money, some of the most memorable playoffs in recent Super Bowl history have been some of these trick plays including the famous Philly Special.&nbsp;

The Rams have held all three of their opponents under this number, with Leonard Fournette being the only one to even eclipse 50 yards. This rush defense is the real deal, I wouldn&#39;t tell you guys to play a playoff under if it wasn&#39;t the real deal.&nbsp;

NFL Super Bowl Player Props - Final Card

Betting on players some of my colleagues may refer to as &quot;absolute scrubs&quot; has seemigly become a favorite hobby of mine this season. While ive been rewarded, and punished, by players that seemigly just decide when they want to show up (... thanks Aaron Gordon) were going back to the well with someone who could very well score 0 points today. Denver and LA are both middle of the pack teams dealing with plenty of injury, lets find some value here today.&nbsp;

He is averaging 9.5 points on the season but more importantly had 17 vs Denver just a couple games ago. Lacking center depth, LAC won&rsquo;t be able to play small ball and will be forced to play Zubac 25-30 minutes. When seeing 25+ minutes, Zubac has gone over 8.5 points in 14 of 18 points averging well over the 9 points nessicary here. Additionaly he&rsquo;s averaging 11.3 Points agianst Jokic over his last 6 games, hitting this number in 4 of those 6 games.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Zubac is the only healthy center on the Clippers. Normally the Clippers like to play small ball (playing with an undersized player as the center) but they are going against the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. Since Jokic is 7 feet tall and will likely play 30-36 minutes in a competitive game, the Clippers will need to adjust and keep there big man on the court to match his size the best they can. Zubac plays inconsistent minutes on the season, but when he gets 25+ minutes, like he did against Denver in there last matchup when he scored 17, he thrives.

For those that arent Firmiliar, Fred VanVleet Steals is a peice I absolutly love adding to plays to bring down the vig. Fred has a steal in 31 of 34 games this year, averging 2.0 over his last eight and 1.6 on the season. He has a steal in 11 straight games, and 2+ in four straight.&nbsp;

I honestly did not expect Matt Ryan to be my favorite play of the week but here we are. For some context, this Falcons offense hasn&#39;t really impressed anyone this season. Maybe the expectations coming into the season were too high with the fantasy community falling in love with both Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts, but here we are in Week 7. While the Lack of production from Ryan obviously isn&#39;t optimal he still has actually been cashing this prop regularly. After getting demolished by the Eagles in Week 1, only completing 21 passes for 164 he&#39;s turned it around with -&nbsp;

This Dolphins team has been absolutely demolished on the defensive end of the ball, something that was supposed to be a strength, resulting in an embarrassing loss in London against the Jaguars last week. The Dolphins have allowed 5 of 6 opposing quarterbacks to hit this number this season with the only loss being Josh Allen who didn&#39;t need to throw the ball much considering the 35-0 score. Dolphins have been bleeding completions with&nbsp;

Even if both corners are at 100%, which I doubt, they still prioritize defending the chunk plays which allows for more short completions to build up. Arthur Smith is coming out of a bye week and it&#39;s time for this offense to turn things around.&nbsp;

NFL Player Prop - Can Matt Ryan Turn Things Around?

While my weekly column here at BetKarma is normally Player Prop focused I want to spend today talking about my favorite spread of the week. While last week we hit both Trey Lance over 40.5 rushing yards and Trey Lance over 0.5 interceptions, it&#39;s time to put our old-fashioned hats on and bet on a traditional spread. The game I&#39;m going to be talking about this week is the Chiefs vs Washington Football Team. The Chiefs just faced a tough defeat to the Bills and are in desperate need of a bounceback.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

<h1>Best Bet: Chiefs -6.5 -110 DK</h1>

&nbsp;

This is hard to say, as a fan of the Football Team, but this defense is bad. While I&rsquo;m a firm believer in the talent this team has, their scheme has failed miserably so far. Defensive Coordinator Jack Del Rio believes in his star-studded defensive line, but as a result of that he refuses to bring additional pressure. The result of this has been the Football Team allowing plenty of time for quarterbacks to move out the pocket and make plays down the field. A guy like Patrick Mahomes lives for these extended pocket situations and with talents like Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. If this team doesn&#39;t get the necessary pressure on Mahomes it&#39;s gonna be a long day.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

In addition to that, I&#39;m struggling to see how this Washington offense keeps pace with the Chiefs. The Chiefs do have one of the worst defenses in the NFL but this Washington offense is coming in very injured with Curtis Samuel likely to miss, Antonio Gibson dealing with a shin injury, and star receiver Terry McLaurin seemingly very hobbled. In the games where Terry wasn&#39;t fully healthy last season&nbsp;this team looked pathetic and I think we may see that happen again.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

If the Chiefs just choose to double cover an injured Terry McLaurin all game, how does Washington move the ball down the field? This isn&#39;t a rhetorical question, I&#39;ve been thinking about it all week. A combination of Ricky Seals-Jones, JD McKissic, and Adam Humpries won&#39;t scare anyone, especially the Chiefs.&nbsp;

Best Bets - Washington Football Team vs Kansas City Chiefs

Last week we enjoyed an easy win at the expense of Rutgers with Michigan State cashing our spread play. We have now hit back-to-back articles with Boston College spread and Michigan State spread. While this week may not have the biggest names playing I think there is plenty of value on the board. Rutgers faces Northwestern this week in a highly anticipated matchup between two conference opponents. These teams haven&#39;t been the most successful in recent years but It definitely will be a game to keep an eye out for on Saturday.

This line is honestly puzzling to me, Northwestern and Rutgers appear to be two drastically different teams priced at about the same level. While Rutgers has faced some of the best competition in football and put up a pretty good fight, they are still being disrespected with this line. Northwestern strength of schedule has been well below average and when they were faced with tougher opponents dropped the ball consistently. Rutgers three losses are all teams that are nationally ranked opponents and Northwestern really shouldn&rsquo;t be too much of a problem.

&nbsp;

Rutgers started off the season incredibly hot and we&rsquo;re even gaining national media attention at that point. Since then they faced a gambit of incredibly tough opponents and have been forgotten about by the national media. Well, I don&rsquo;t wanna be too harsh on northwestern, they aren&rsquo;t remotely close to the level of competition that Rutgers has lost to. This feels like a -6 or -7 type of spread to me which makes it super attractive.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Northwestern is going to be a team that struggles to throw the ball, if they can&rsquo;t establish their running game early it&rsquo;s gonna be incredibly hard for this team to fight from behind. Rutgers has done a good job getting off to fast starts this season and I expect them to take an early lead and grind the clock from there. This Rutgers defense is good enough where Northwestern is going to have problems all game and I&rsquo;m still surprised that this line is so close.

CFB Betting Picks - Rutgers vs Northwestern

<h1>1u Trey Lance Over 40.5 Rushing Yards -110&nbsp;</h1>

&nbsp;

Playable to 44.5. Lance has given me everything I need to see in terms of his rushing potential. While I think it&#39;s gonna be a real coming-out party for the rookie, he also gets a very soft Cardinals matchup to start out his career. While the Cardinals may be the only undefeated team left in the league, I would credit a lot of that to Kyler Murray and his MVP-Esque numbers so far this season. This defense has gotten beat by a lot of teams and this is suddenly a very important game for the 49ers with some tough opponents coming to town.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

If you&rsquo;re not familiar with Lance, I would tell you to think of a more athletic/speedy Daniel Jones or Trevor Lawrence in terms of usage. This team is very run-heavy and the diversity of skills between Elijah Mitchell, Trey Sermon, and now Trey Lance is gonna be interesting to watch. The reason I made the comparison to Jones and Lawrence is because I think they are gonna keep this defense guessing in terms of who runs the ball and he should see multiple read opportunities where he can keep it or hand the ball off.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Lance has 7 rushes for 41 yards in the second half of the last game and now they have a whole week to plan for him. While the Bears did not utilize Fields to his strengths in his rookie debut I expect a lot more from the 49ers coaching staff. Jones and Watt should push him out the pocket and force him to turn to the running game. This is an important game and Lance is an athletically talented player, I&#39;m expecting a lot from him. If you&rsquo;ve read this far then here&#39;s a reward, I&#39;m also sprinkling 0.25 on Lance to throw an INT against the Cardinals. He throws the ball so unnecessarily hard at his receivers that we&#39;ve already seen it cause a couple of tipped passes, something to look out for.&nbsp;

NFL Player Props - Is It Trey Lance Season Yet?

Last week we had a great pivot from props to spreads and hit both Boston College 1H and full game for a nice 2-0 card. We&rsquo;re hoping to keep that momentum coming today with another great spread pick! Yesterday I shared both Houston -6 and Coastal Carolina o1H o23.5 in the discord so we are definitely looking to continue that momentum into the weekend. Michigan State vs Rutgers has been a game I&#39;ve been monitoring very closely, super excited for this play!

This has been a conviction play for me all week. This line opened at 5 in most places and is now between -4 and -5.5 on most sportsbooks. I expected this line to move closer to -6/-7 so we still have some good value here. This is a home game for the Scarlet Nights who boast a 3-2 record. The Visiting Michigan State squad is ranked #11 in the country and is currently sitting at 5-0.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Kenneth Walker, Michigan State&rsquo;s RB, currently leads the nation in rushing yards with 680 on 100 carries this season. The key for this Michigan State offense is establishing the run, doing that sets up a solid passing game and allows these players to really step up. Walker&#39;s one rough game came against a tough Nebraska defense but he was able to rebound against WKU last week with 126 Carries.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Rutgers is a team that has taken care of business in the easier spots but really struggled in the spotlight this season. After a 3-0 start against Delaware, Temple, and Syracuse, Rutgers was really starting to have some momentum along with some pretty solid national media attention. That being said, the back-to-back losses to both Michigan and Ohio State really hurt this team. Both were games where they started strong but really couldn&#39;t sustain the momentum for much of the game.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Overall it&#39;s pretty simple, Rutgers should take care of business against bad teams but Michigan State is starting to smell legitimate contender chances. With the Big 10 looking vulnerable this has suddenly become a must-win game. Considering the fact that this spread should be -6 I&#39;ll take the value all day long with a tough old school Michigan State squad.&nbsp;

They are struggling to get the ball to their elite receivers and the offensive line can&#39;t block long enough to make it happen.&nbsp;

Shipley went down with an injury and their second-string running back is already in the transfer portal. Now they have a 3rd string running back behind a less-than-stellar offensive line with a quarterback that hasn&#39;t done anything this season. Clemson is already done for the season in terms of playoff hopes, I think this may be a depressing game for my Tigers.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Boston College is coming in extreme momentum. This is one of their best starts in modern history and I think they are legit this year. They haven&#39;t played any big-name teams like Clemson so far but they&#39;ve handled every opponent they&#39;ve played very well. Beyond that, their pass defense has been good. With Clemson struggling to run the ball with their lack of WR depth I think the Boston College defense can spend a lot of time working on the pass catchers.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Overall I&#39;m not sure Boston College can actually win this game but NCState gave us the playbook on how to slow this team down. I bet against Clemson last week and I&rsquo;m gonna do it again here. Hopefully, the next big 5 start high school sensation is gonna because he&#39;s likely gonna be starting at Clemson next season.&nbsp;

I was at the point where I was even looking to bet a season-long under but he has already changed my mind, this early in the season!&nbsp;

Kirk has started out the season on fire! This line is currently set at 42.5 on Draftkings but guess what? Kirk hasn&#39;t had below 60 receiving yards yet this season!! That&#39;s crazy value.

In these games, he had 8, 4, and 5 targets along with constantly being a good red-zone threat. He accounts for 32.4% of this team&rsquo;s air yards and currently has an ADOT of 15.4 meaning we really only need 3 catches to get the job done. Kirk has been one of the most efficient receivers in the league, in a game where they should be throwing the ball a lot, I love his outlook.&nbsp;

Kirk is currently third on this team with 17 targets, right behind AJ Green and Deandre Hopkins who are tied with 18. Kirk is making the most of his snaps considering he leads the league in receiving yards from the slot with 239, 19 more than Copper Kupp in second place. This team is finally making an effort to utilize his strengths and it&rsquo;s showing so far, not worried at all by the Rams matchup considering it has one of the highest game totals of the slate. Ramsey is gonna be all over Deandre Hopkins is struggling with a rib injury, I expect this team to continue getting the PFF ranked #2 receiver involved this game.

NFL Player Prop Week 4 - Which Cardinals Receiver will Prevail?

<h1>Hunter Renfrow o4.5 REC +125&nbsp;</h1>

&nbsp;

One thing we know about the Miami Dolphins is they have a very good secondary. Xavien Howard and Byron Jones are one of the best cornerback tandems in the NFL and that should definitely cause problems for the Raiders. One of the things we&rsquo;ve noticed so far this year is Derek Carr&lsquo;s newfound desire to more consistently throw the ball down the field. Because of that, we&rsquo;ve seen an emergence of Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow as his safety blankets when those deep targets don&rsquo;t pan out.

&nbsp;

With Miami&rsquo;s ability to cover outside receivers very well I think we should see a pretty noticeable uptick in production from Hunter Renfrow. Through two games so far this season he&rsquo;s been targeted seven and nine times, a career start to his&nbsp;season, and there&rsquo;s no indication that he&rsquo;s going to turn this around. I think we&rsquo;re getting a great number along with a good matchup for the specific prop. Miami is normally not a team I like to target but their weakness in the slot is not something we should be overlooked. I expect our favorite accountant to have around six catches on Sunday.&nbsp;

<h1>Jalen Hurts o300.5 Passing/Rushing Yards -115&nbsp;</h1>

&nbsp;

He&rsquo;s hit this number in 3/5 games he&rsquo;s started in his career including 1/2 so far this year. He came out the gates hot, crushing this number in week one but failed to eclipse it last week against a tough 49ers defense. The Cowboys and 49ers are polar opposites in terms of defensive capabilities and I don&rsquo;t expect a similar game script this week.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

In the two games so far the Cowboys have played this season, they have allowed both starting quarterbacks to hit this number just in the air. Hurts has one of the biggest rushing upsides in the league but could very easily cover this number simply throwing the ball. Dallas has plenty of weaknesses across the field and I expect the young quarterback to take advantage of it. Lots of people aren&rsquo;t giving him the credit he deserves due to last weeks tough matchup, this is literally the perfect bounce-back spot

Another successful week of college football in the books. I&#39;m happy to announce that I will continue with the same format we started last week which is doing my write-ups based on the Prize Picks numbers. If you have PrizePicks available then your set, if not, have these writeups ready for when props drop on Saturday morning. Waiting until Saturday morning isn&#39;t a sustainable strategy so im glad we found a happy medium here, now let&#39;s get onto the player props.&nbsp;

<h1>Kenneth Walker III over 112.5 Rushing Yards&nbsp;</h1>

&nbsp;

I posted this on both Twitter (MonotoneFootbal) and in the BetKarma discord at 106.5 but we&#39;ve seen a slight increase since then. That being said, this is still a very playable number, and I expect sportsbooks to be in the 105-115 range. Let&#39;s take a look at how Walker has done so far this season -

23 - 264 - 4 vs Northwestern&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Can we take a second to acknowledge how crazy these numbers are? He put up 172 yards against a legitimately good Miami defense and 264 yards against Northwestern. His only miss was in a game that was over after the first quarter and still averaged 8.1 yards per carry. Walker is the best running back in the nation right now and I expect him to keep that up against Nebraska. The biggest worry for this play is getting in a game script where they are forced to pass all game but Nebraska isn&#39;t good enough for that, there will be a slower-paced ground battle between the two teams.&nbsp;

<h1>Chez Mellusi over 99.5 Rushing Yards</h1>

&nbsp;

This is another play that we&#39;ve seen some slight line movement on. It opened at 92.5 on PrizePicks but is still very live anywhere under 105. Mellusi has started off the season hot for the Badgers and is clearly their number one back, which is very important for these large numbers. Let&#39;s take a look at how Mellusi has performed so far -&nbsp;

31 - 121 - 1 vs Penn State&nbsp;

20 - 144 - 1 vs EMU

&nbsp;

Penn State is definitely the litmus test here, there is a nationally ranked team with a comparable defense to Notre Dame. While it wasn&#39;t his best game ever, only 3.9 yards per carry, the trust they showed in him was evident. He carried the ball 31 times in that game and that&#39;s not something to smirk at, they clearly wanna run the ball and control the clock this season.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Notre Dame has allowed two of the three running backs they faced this year to eclipse this number. The only miss was against Perdue where the Boilermakers were forced to throw the ball 54 times due to being down for most of the game. Toledo played a close game with Notre Dame and 114 rushing yards from their lead back, Florida State had 144. Volume is king with these props and Notre Dame doesn&#39;t really scare me here.&nbsp;

College Football is back and in full swing, who else is excited for a full slate of football? In my first article we hit Chris Olave over 90.5 fairly easily but last week we were betrayed by the Utes in a crushing upset defeat. My specialty is Player Props but it&#39;s really tough to get these articles out in a timely manner when sportsbooks are scared to take any action and don&#39;t post numbers until right before gametime. To bypass that, we&rsquo;re gonna base our plays off of PrizePicks early lines and you can use that information when sportsbooks finally make them available. <h1>Deuce Vaughn Over 97.5 Rushing Yards&nbsp;</h1>

Let me get my bias out the way first, Vaughn is one of my favorite players in college football. That being said, I still love this spot. Some context into the game is that Kansas State is playing at home against the Nevada Wolf Pack. Both teams are coming into this game 2-0 and it&#39;s a serious spot with long term bowl game implications.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Let&#39;s talk about Carson Strong, the Nevada quarterback is seen by many as an NFL quarterback and someone that is definitely in the Heisman conversation. Nevada is known for their air raid offense and are gonna play as fast as possible against a less offensively explosive Kansas State squad. One of the biggest ways you slow the game down and beat a team like Nevada is to establish the run. Kansas State is also missing their starting QB and should look to rely on parts of their offense that have been successful thus far.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Now enters Deuce Vaughn, the 5&rsquo;6 172 pound sophomore running back. He&rsquo;s really burst onto the scene so far this year putting up these stat lines, 26-120-3 and 13-124-1 in his two games so far. He&#39;s a guy that not only runs with a surprising amount of power for his height but also a lot of explosiveness. Seeing his touches trend up from 13 to 26 was another thing that got me fired up to play this, Kansas State clearly has confidence in him.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

I really do think he can be the difference maker in this game. Establishing the Run is gonna be crucial to keeping a team like Nevada at bay and I think Vaugn will play a big part in that. Vaugn currently is posted at 97.5 on Prize Picks which is a number I really like, if the sportsbooks post anything under 100 then I&#39;m in. Another exciting weekend of football in the books! Last week we got to see some great performances across the league along with the opportunity to better understand some of our favorite coaches. Week 2 is always fun for me because linemakers across the country always struggle on how much to react to a certain Week 1 performance. My policy is always trust what you see. I don&#39;t make any crazy overreactions but I definitely trust my eye in identifying places that sportsbooks may want more time to think over. Trusting your process is key and I honestly think Week 2 through 4 are some of the best opportunities to make money all year. That being said, let&#39;s get into the plays!&nbsp;

<h1>0.5u James Conner over 8.5 rushing Attempts -105</h1>

&nbsp;

Connor played 50% of snaps last week, splitting the back field rushing work with Chase Edmonds. While Connor doesn&rsquo;t have this back field all to himself it&rsquo;s clear he still is the main rusher on this team. While Edmonds will thrive more in negative game scripts, where the team is forced to throw the ball, Connor will get more opportunity in more Rush heavy games. Last week we saw Connor get a majority of his carries in the second half where they were up double digits over the Titans. Connor had 16 carries last week and I think we can expect a similar workload, the Vikings are down multiple starters and their defense wasn&rsquo;t looking too great to begin with. Considering all the Vikings defensive injuries and how good the Cardinals looked on offense last week I expect them to be winning this game fairly easily.&nbsp; I think that opens up plenty of opportunities for James Conner to get this number very quickly, I have him projected for 11.9 carries at the moment.&nbsp;

<h1>0.5u Matthew Stafford over 1.5 passing touchdowns -150</h1>

&nbsp;

Stafford is one of the best pure packet pocket passer&lsquo;s we have in the NFL right now. Partnering up with Coach Sean McVay was one of the best decisions he&rsquo;s ever made in his life and that showed last week. In his debut against the Bears he threw for four passing touchdowns looking very sharp in the pocket along with a couple very nice deep balls. This week they get a Colts match up, which allowed four passing touchdowns to Russell Wilson last week. The Colts defense did not look very good and I expect Stafford to really take advantage of that tonight. Yes we aren&rsquo;t getting the best odds in the world with -150 but this almost feels like a lock, he literally threw 4 passing touchdowns last week against the Bears. Stafford is in the best situation he&rsquo;s ever been in his career and I expect this to be one of the more pass heavy offenses in the league, nothing I saw from the Colts give me confidence that they would be able to slow him down this week

Sunday NFL Player Props - Old Man Edition

With my first college football bet of the year, we successfully cashed Chris Olave over 90.5 receiving yards. While I love these props bets, the sportsbooks are incredibly slow with posting the lines so I&#39;m pivoting to a spread pick I like a lot. With so many great games to bet on it honestly took me a while to settle on BYU vs Utah, Texas vs Arkansas, and Iowa vs Iowa State were both incredibly tempting but my biggest edge was on Utah. Week 2 is always awesome for betting, we finally have a bit of information and tape to watch and the money should be rolling in.

<h1>Utah -6 -110 WynnBet</h1>

&nbsp;

Who would have thought that Utah would come into this game as such a heavy favorite? Last year was amazing for BYU, producing second overall pick Zack Wilson in what was an electric offense. This season, without Zack Wilson, BYU has a much more balanced attack, relying on the running game to keep defenses in check. Unfortunately for BYU, Utah has a really good run defense. Utah has led the Pac-12 in rushing defense each of the last three seasons and held Weber State to only 57 rush yards in their Week 1 matchup.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Both of these teams started out a little slow but beat their fairly easy Week 1 opponents. Looking back on the tape, I liked what I saw from Utah a lot. They played their style of football all game and I don&#39;t think that&#39;s something BYU is gonna be accustomed to. It&#39;s hard losing one of your best players in franchise history and while BYU does have a solid squad I just don&#39;t think they will be able to keep pace with Utah this week.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

The Charlie Brewer to Tavion Thomas combination was electric in Week 1. 12 catches for 107 yards along with 2 touchdowns is definitely a memorable experience. While Weber State doesn&#39;t have the best secondary in the country, neither does BYU. BYU allowed four receivers to go over 50 yards in a game where Arizona only scored 16 points. That definitely reflects more on Arizona&#39;s ability to close out drives than BYU&#39;s defensive ability. I expect Utah to continue to exploit this problem in this intense Week 2 matchup with seasonlong implications.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

WynnBet&nbsp;currently has the best number available at -6. We&#39;ve seen some line movement in both directions over the course of the last week, I would play this bet up to -7. With that first touch of the NFL finally gracing us on Thursday Night Football, we finally have our first main slate of the season. With almost every sportsbook having a plethora of options available you can bet on practically any starting offensive player&#39;s results this weekend. My target for this article is gonna be third-year receiver Terry McLaurin, out of Ohio State University. With two great seasons to his name already, I&#39;m highly invested in the performance of the young wideout this year. The Chargers travel to the nation&#39;s capital to take on the Football Team this week. The game is currently set at -1 point spread for the Football team and I&#39;m expecting a great game.&nbsp;

One of the first things to highlight about McLaurin in this offense is the new quarterback situation. Last year he was catching passes from a rotation involving Dwayne Haskins, Alex Smith, and Kyle Allen, one that I would argue was competing for the worst in football. This year the Football team recognized the problem and brought in veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, coming off his best career season with the Dolphins last year. Something that will immediately change with Terry McLaurin is gonna be his average depth of target. Last year, he was limited by his quarterback&#39;s lack of ability to throw the deep ball but if there&#39;s anything Fitzpactricks know for, it&#39;s his ability to take risks and throw the ball down the field.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Now let&#39;s talk about the Charger&#39;s defensive matchup. The Chargers are known for their strong defensive presence with daunting names like Derwin James and Joey Bosa but it&#39;s important to note that they have lost several key pieces such as Casey Hayward and Melvin Ingram over the last couple of years. Terry McLaurin will be matched up with Michael Davis who surprisingly, is a pretty good matchup. Last season he allowed 1.22 yards per route along with allowing a target on 16% of routes run.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

McLaurin is gonna find multiple ways to be involved in this offense and it&#39;s looking more and more likely that WR2, Curtis Samuel, won&#39;t be playing. It took me a while to decide between receptions and receiving yards but overall I think Fitzpatricks deep throwing tendencies make a 4-83 game much more likely than some of last year&#39;s 7-50 performances. Expecting a great start to the season from the young receiver, 69 yards doesn&#39;t seem too hard.

NFL Player Prop - Can Scary Terry Take Down the Chargers D?

The goal of this article is to look ahead to a couple of Week #1 spots that ill be waiting anxiously for. Different books and apps are slowly putting up numbers and we want to make sure we are there to grab them as soon as possible. I&#39;ll Start out by talking about TJ Hockenson, and discuss his currently available PrizePicks&nbsp;numbers, then move on to some speculation about Andy Dalton. One thing I&#39;ve always been a huge fan of is setting my own lines and odds prior to the books, that way I have a completely unbiased look at what I was thinking before the books put out their numbers. Hopefully, this preview can help a couple of you guys be ready when sportsbooks finally drop their Week #1 odds.&nbsp;

<h2>TJ Hockenson&nbsp;</h2>

&nbsp;

Scrolling through the available Week 1 options TJ was someone that instantly stuck out to me. While I&rsquo;m personally very high on the 49ers and their defense I think this spot should present some good opportunities.&nbsp; Before we get any further, this Lions team, more specifically offense, will most likely be one of the worst in the league. That being said, Hockenson is in a prime position to lead this team in targets. Goff is someone who has historically leaned on his tight ends and that seems to be the case in preseason workouts with NFL Network reporting Hock is, &ldquo;THE player to watch out for. He and Goff have&nbsp;a lot of chemistry&rdquo;. This shouldn&rsquo;t be a surprise to anyone, with a supporting cast of Tyrell Williams, Quintez Cephus, and Amon-Ra St. Brown the third-year tight end is clearly the alpha of this offense.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

The clear and obvious comparison is last season&rsquo;s Darren Waller. Both had lackluster quarterbacks, played on below-average teams, and commanded a huge target share for their respective teams. He doesn&rsquo;t have to reach the heights Waller did but it does seem he&rsquo;s on a very similar trajectory. Now let&rsquo;s talk matchup/game script something that I&rsquo;m normally much more concerned about when facing top defenses. I think this game plays out one of two ways, Jimmy Garrapalo comes out and makes a statement, giving this team an early lead and possibly even leading to a blowout. It could also be a close game, if the Lions step up and keep this game more competitive there will be more of a run-pass balance but it likely means that Goff is having an average/good game, which is great for Hockensons fantasy value. In either of the two situations, the Lions are throwing the ball and that leads me to believe the young tight end will be the center of attention.

Fantasy Points vs Receiving Yards - I personally like both but it&rsquo;s a tough choice right here. Hockenson is a huge target and a dominant red-zone presence, something that makes him appealing for fantasy points but his receiving yards number is also very low at 48.5, taking away any pressure to score in a Jared Goff offense. Last Year Hockenson hit this receiving yards number in 8/16 games and the fantasy points number in 8/16 games. It&rsquo;s a tough choice but both look promising.&nbsp;

<h2>Andy Dalton OVER 0.5 Interceptions&nbsp;</h2>

 
&nbsp;

With coach Matt Naggy making it absolutely clear that Andy Dalton will be the Week 1 starter, plenty of interesting doors will be opened. I honestly have no clue what odds will open for this bet but if we can get something close to standard juice (-110) then I&rsquo;ll be incredibly happy. Andy Dalton has 9 interceptions over his last 10 games and I&#39;m not seeing a reason that will change this week. The Rams are most likely gonna have a top 5-10 defense in the league and it really wouldn&#39;t surprise anyone if Dalton threw 2 interceptions before halftime.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Most people are just counting down the clocks until Justin Fields gets the rains to this team. The common opinion is that Dalton is being fed to the wolves (the Rams defense) and will essentially serve as the sacrificial lamb to open up the Justin Fields era. This isn&#39;t even necessarily an attack towards Dalton, having Aaron Donald tossing around two 300 pound offensive lineman like children would put the fear of God in my eyes also. Overall a lot of this really depends on if a book decides to drop a weak number and we can take advantage of it.&nbsp;

We finally have another real week of College Football to gamble on! College Football not only offers spreads but with the growing legalization of gambling across the United States we are seeing player props offered more and more. Certain states don&#39;t allow you to bet them if you live in the same state as your team, so watch out for that. Ohio State at Minnesota is gonna be the subject of this article. Currently, a -14 spread means that Ohio State is expected to win but it won&#39;t necessarily be easy. Ohio State has one of the best receiving corps in the country and that&#39;s what I&#39;m looking to target tonight.&nbsp;

He was a walking highlight real last season, hitting this number in 4 of 5 regular-season games and 1 of 2 playoff games. Getting experience vs elite NFL ready cornerbacks in a playoff situation only gave confidence to the young wideout, who put up 132 yards and 2 TD&rsquo;s against an elite Clemson squad last year. Let&#39;s look at his numbers during the season last year.&nbsp;

Yes OSU has a rookie quarterback coming out but that doesn&#39;t worry me, this is a great game to get his feet wet and let his starts like Olave do all the work. Futures aren&rsquo;t always the most fun market in the world, they can take multiple months to payout, but can be extremely profitable in the long run. Oh boy&hellip; we&rsquo;re starting out hot. Kyle Pitts is probably one of the most popular overs in all of the fantasy and gambling community this year. Whether it was his impactful offensive play at Florida, being taken at #4 overall in the draft, or the Falcons trading away Julio Jones opening up even more opportunities, everyone loves Mr. Pitts. The general explanation surrounding the hype seems quite simple, Kyle Pitts is a generational talent. As I mindlessly scroll through Twitter every day I see a similar trend, people being called stupid for not jumping on the Kyle Pitts bandwagon. Who knows, maybe we are. That being said, an important note to remember is that season-long overs tend to count on every single factor going right for the player and not accounting for common factors like injury and bizarre&nbsp;coaching decisions. I like Pitts and I&#39;m excited to watch him play Football this season, now onto why I&#39;m liking the under here.&nbsp;

Let&rsquo;s take a look at tight ends that covered this number last season and what we can learn from that. Travis Kelce led all tight ends in receiving yards last season, compiling 1416 yards over 15 games played. Next up we have Darren Waller who had 1,196 receiving yards over 16 games with an insanely high target share on the Raiders. After that we have, oh wait, nobody else. That&rsquo;s right, two tight ends had over 800 receiving yards last year. I&rsquo;m not talking about just rookies or anything else, last season ONLY two tight ends actually covered this number. This also isn&rsquo;t really an outlier year considering over the past couple of seasons no more than 5 tight ends have gone over this number with 5 in 2019, 4 in 2018, 2 in 2017 and, 4 in 2016.&nbsp;

This bet is really quite simple, I&rsquo;m taking the chance that maybe Kyle Pitts won&rsquo;t be a Hall of Famer in his first year. Maybe he will struggle a little bit out of the gate, maybe Matt Ryan won&rsquo;t be throwing the ball as much as everybody projects him to. It&rsquo;s possible Hayden Hurst, who they traded draft capital for last season, will have a slightly bigger-than-expected role. I&rsquo;m not here to start any arguments with the &ldquo;Kyle Pitts Truthers&rdquo;, I&rsquo;m just here to say it&rsquo;s more likely that Kyle Pitts may not be generational immediately.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Let&rsquo;s Start With Keenan Allen.</h2>

There arent many more reliable receivers in the NFL than Keenan Allen these days. Whether it&rsquo;s his fellow athletes, such as Darren Waller or Davante Adams, calling him the best route runner in the league, or every single NFL analyst having him in their top 10 receiver list, the consensus is clear, Allen is a beast. Allen&rsquo;s chemistry with then-rookie quarterback Justin Herbert was on display last season, Excluding Weeks 5 and 15 when he left early with an injury, Keenan Allen saw 10+ targets in all but one game and accumulated a 29% target share in games he finished that was started by Herbert, only Davante Adams was higher.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Beyond even diving deep into that stats, a quick glance at the past seasons will show you that he&rsquo;s done this in every season he&rsquo;s played at least 15 games in (which has been 4 times in his career). There are a number of impressive stats you can throw at the wall with Keenan but one of the most is exciting is that Herbert targeted Allen 10-plus times in a game 10 different times in 2020. Allen has slowly seen his target share rise over the years from 8.5 per game in 2018 to 9.3 in 2019 to 10.5 last year. I expect Allen to continue his dominance as the number one receiver for the up-and-coming Chargers.&nbsp;

<h2>Rough Start for Kadaruis Toney?&nbsp;</h2>

&nbsp;

For anyone not familiar with Kadaruis Toney, he&rsquo;s a rookie wide receiver from the University of Florida who was picked at number #19 in this year&rsquo;s draft. Immediately looking at this team&rsquo;s wide receiver room there are some problems for Toney. This offseason, the Giants paid big money in free agency to acquire Kenny Golladay, presumably to be the #1 target and alpha of this receiving core. After that, we have Sterling Shepard who will finally be able to move back into the slot where he&rsquo;s most comfortable. With Golladay and Shepard locked and loaded at the 1 and 2 spots you would think, with a number like 505, that Toney would be next, you&rsquo;re wrong. Last season Darius Slayton surprised many compiling 96 targets, 50 receptions, and 751 receiving yards showing good chemistry with Daniel Jones at times. Even beyond that, he will still be competing for targets with offensive-minded tight end Evan Engram who had 653 receiving yards last season despite many considering it a failure, and young speedster John Ross who had an impressive showing in camp thus far.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

When writing out all the competition Toney has for targets it becomes harder and harder to rationalize that number being set all the way at 505. To put that in context, Golden Tate served as the wide receiver three last season and only finished with 35 receptions for 388 yards. Even if you are projecting a breakout year for Daniel Jones, it&rsquo;s hard to believe that he&rsquo;s going to be able to support that many wide receivers. Combine that with the return of Saquon Barkley and the fact that Toney has missed all of the preseason thus far, I&rsquo;m loving the under.&nbsp;

Betting season-long props are always gonna be somewhat risky but can definitely present extreme value at times. I normally will only pull the trigger when I believe a player can cash a ticket playing only about 14 of the 17 total games, and I think that&rsquo;s the case for Chase Young here. There is absolutely no better way to start out a new season of football than a strip-sack, against Cam Newton, on your third play of the preseason. If you&rsquo;ve been living under a rock, Chase Young was the Washington Football Team first-round selection last season, picked at the #2 spot right behind Joe Burrow. The Ohio State product impressed many during his rookie season and everything seems in place for a great year two breakout.&nbsp;

<h1>Chase Young OVER 8.5 Sacks -110 MGM&nbsp;</h1>

Last year Young posted 7.5 sacks over the course of 15 games. Beyond the fact that he was a rookie getting used to a new system he also had tons of responsibility in the run-stopping game. This year they drafted rookie linebacker Jamin Davis in the first round to help with that along with signing cornerback William Jackson III, these additions will help the overall defense and take some pressure of Young. The Washington defense is expected to be top five by almost every industry insider and it&rsquo;s hard to not buy into the hype, even the players have bought in with Montez Sweat telling the media that he and Young planned to break the record of 39 sacks by a pass-rushing duo this season.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

The final thing we have going right for us is that Chase Young is finally healthy. He had a lingering groin injury that he battled through for most of last season. He recently went on ESPN and explained that he finally felt back to normal around Week 11, and the numbers back that up considering he had 3.5 of his 7.5 sacks from Week 11 to Week 17, more than half of his production on the season happened when he was healthy for a six-week span. Young has all the physical tools necessary to have an incredible breakout season, I&rsquo;m just happy to be along for the ride. The second year for defensive players with draft capital like Young&#39;s is historically when the breakouts occur, by the end of the season I wouldn&#39;t be shocked to hear Young in the conversations for defensive player of the year.&nbsp;
